KARACHI:

The Board of Revenue has failed to produce key documents related to the Gul Plaza incident, prompting the Judicial Commission to summon senior member BoR, Khalid Haider Shah, in his personal capacity.

According to a summons issued by Judicial Commission Registrar Iqbal Hassan, the commission had written to the BoR on March 10, directing it to submit the required record by March 13. However, the BoR has yet to comply with the directive.

The commission has now ordered that all relevant record pertaining to Gul Plaza be submitted by March 25 along with a detailed explanation for failure to implement the earlier orders. It warned that in case of further non-compliance, legal proceedings may be initiated as per law.

The record sought includes all revenue entries, transfers, and registries related to the property. The BoR has also been directed to submit all notifications, allotments, transfers, and any official orders concerning Gul Plaza.

The Commission has asked for maps and any other relevant documentation available with the BoR regarding the plaza.
