THE BOYZ terminate contracts with One Hundred Label amid unpaid settlement dispute, agency responds

According to the K-pop boy band's statement, the agency has failed to pay settlements for activities since July 2025

K-pop boy band THE BOYZ members Sangyeon, Jacob, Younghoon, Hyunjae, Juyeon, Kevin, Q, Sunwoo and Eric have formally terminated their exclusive contracts with agency One Hundred Label, citing unpaid settlements and a breakdown of trust, while the company disputes the claims.

The group’s legal representative, attorney Kim Moon-hee of Law Firm Yulchon, confirmed that the artists issued a termination notice on February 10, 2026 due to what she described as a “grave breach of contract” and “irreparable damage to the trust relationship”. She stated that the contracts are now legally terminated and no longer valid.

According to the statement, the agency has failed to pay settlements for activities since July 2025. “Despite repeated requests by the Artists to review basic documents such as contracts to ensure transparency in settlements, the Agency unjustly refused without valid reasons,” Kim said. She added that the company also failed to support operational costs and delayed payments to on-site staff.

The dispute escalated following reports that the agency had received substantial advance payments linked to the group’s activities without providing clear explanations regarding unpaid earnings. “Ultimately, the artists reached the conclusion that the situation could no longer be tolerated or sustained,” Kim said.

One Hundred Label rejected the termination, stating it had signed the group under the condition that all members would promote together and had provided significant financial support. The agency claimed it had absorbed losses to maintain operations and denied allegations of withholding support.

Member New has chosen to remain with the agency for personal reasons, a decision the other members said they respect.

Despite the ongoing dispute, the group confirmed it will proceed with scheduled concerts in April and honour existing commitments.
