'Love Island USA' star Huda Mustafa responds after restraining order filed by boyfriend’s ex in LA

Nicole Olivera, Louis Russell’s former partner and the mother of his child also accused Mustafa of harrassment

Huda Mustafa has responded publicly after a temporary restraining order was granted against her following allegations made by her boyfriend’s former partner in Los Angeles.

The Love Island USA contestant addressed the situation in an Instagram Story on March 17, denying claims brought forward by Nicole Olivera, the ex-partner of Louis Russell. “I’m aware of what’s being said and it’s not true,” Mustafa wrote. “I’m handling everything the right way by letting legal take care of it. I appreciate everyone who continues to support me.”

Court documents filed on March 12 in Los Angeles Superior Court show that Olivera sought legal protection for herself and her son, alleging that Mustafa made threats and engaged in harassment. Olivera claimed that Mustafa travelled to Los Angeles to confront her and accused her of making alarming statements during a series of interactions.

“She Ubered to my son and my’s home and broke into the building, threatening to knock [on] all our doors,” Olivera alleged.

She further stated, “[Huda] threatened to jump off buildings, swearing on the phone on her daughter’s life that she was going to kill herself.”

According to the filing, Olivera reported experiencing “about 12 hours of terrifying and extremely mentally unstable threats” and claimed Mustafa also contacted her through social media. Olivera said she feared for her safety and that of her child.

A judge granted a temporary restraining order, requiring Mustafa to remain at least 100 yards away from Olivera and her son at all times, including at their home, workplace and school. The order also prohibits any form of contact or harassment until a scheduled court hearing on April 3.

Mustafa rose to prominence on Love Island USA Season 7, where she finished third. She later entered a relationship with Russell following her appearance on the show.
