Pedestrian hit to death

A young man was killed after being hit by a dumper truck while crossing a road.

According to reports, the incident occurred near Makwana Bypass on Jaranwala Road, where the speeding dumper truck struck 30-year-old Muhammad Farooq as he was crossing the road. He suffered critical injuries and was shifted to a hospital after urgent medical aid, where he succumbed to his injuries. Police officials took the body into custody and handed it over to the heirs after completing legal formalities.

Efforts were under way to trace the driver responsible for the accident.

Meanwhile, a man was killed and four others injured when a tractor trolley collided with a rickshaw on Vehari Road in Multan.
