Jamie Foxx praises Michael B Jordan after Oscars win: 'You deserve two Oscars'

Jordan in his speech paid tribute to those who paved the way for him saying he stood on the shoulders of legends

Jamie Foxx is celebrating Michael B. Jordan following his major Best Actor win at the 2026 Oscars, after the younger star gave him a heartfelt shoutout in his acceptance speech.

Jordan took home the award for his dual role in Sinners, marking a major milestone in his career and making him one of the few Black actors to ever win in the category.

During his speech, Jordan paid tribute to the actors who paved the way for him, including Foxx, saying he stood on the shoulders of legends like Sidney Poitier, Denzel Washington and others.

Foxx, who won his own Oscar for Ray in 2004, was visibly moved by the mention and took to social media to praise Jordan’s performance.

“I can barely breathe right now… you were absolutely incredible in this film,” Foxx wrote, before adding, “Honestly, you deserve two Oscars for this one.”

He continued to applaud Jordan not just as an actor but as an all-around creative force, calling him “an amazing actor, an amazing director, truly all of the above.”

Jordan’s win capped off a strong awards season for Sinners, which earned multiple Oscars and critical acclaim.
