Priyanka Chopra recently made an appearance at the 98th Academy Awards on March 15, alongside her husband, Nick Jonas. She stepped on stage to present the Best International Feature Film award at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.
The Indian actor was joined by Spanish star Javier Bardem, after being introduced by Conan O’Brien, the host of the evening.
As the duo welcomed the attendees, Bardem delivered a powerful appeal for peace, saying, “No to war and Free Palestine”, a remark that drew applause from the audience.
Chopra stood beside him smiling, without saying a word. Her reaction prompted a response from international fans.
Later, while introducing the nominees, she reflected on the universal power of storytelling and the way cinema bridges international audiences.
Many fans applauded Bardem’s bravery, especially since he was among the actors who had yet to speak on the cause publicly.
