Pakistan not at war with Afghan people, but the agents of India: MQM-P
Lauds sacrifices of armed forces defending western borders

The Federal Education Minister and Convener of Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui has said Pakistan has not started a war against Afghanistan or its people, rather against enemies of Afghanistan and the agents of India. Speaking at a rally and while addressing a charity event in Hyderabad on Sunday, he deplored that decades long hospitality of Pakistan's people for Afghan refugees is being reciprocated by patronizing terrorists carrying out blasts and killing innocent people in the country.
Siddiqui paid tribute to the soldiers of Pakistan's armed forces for defending the country's western borders from terrorists and their patrons and for laying down their lives in the defence. Implying towards Pakistan's support for Afghan Taliban, he criticized the latter for backing terrorists as soon as they came to power.
The MQM-P's chief asserted that those claim that their sole agenda is Islamisation of the country are actually proxies of India, employing terrorism as their tool. He expressed sadness that around 100,000 Pakistanis embraced martyrdom in the war against terror which has its roots in Afghanistan.
He emphasized that his party always gave precedence to service of humanity over politics and referred to the party's charity wing, Khidmat-e-Khalq Foundation (KKF), as the archetype of such service. He noted that the KKF will complete 50 years of its existence and service after two years in 2028.
According to him, the foundation believed in silent service to humanity as it's volunteers visited door to door to help the people in need without having to advertise their welfare activities. "Some people are with MQM-P because they want the party to meet their needs. But I salute those people who are with the party because they want to meet needs of other people."
Referring to the US and Israeli war against Iran, he believed that the third world war is knocking at the doors. He advised the workers and the volunteers to stock fuel and water but not only for themselves rather for all the people. MQM-P's central leader Shabir Ahmed Qaimkhani said the party has been passing through a difficult phase for the last 10 years but still the KKF managed to continue its welfare activities. Sindh Organizing Committee's In Charge Saleem Razzak and Hyderabad chapter organizer Zafar Ahmed Siddiqui, among others, also expressed their views on the occasion.
