ISLAMABAD: A 22-year-old girl, who fell from a balcony in an F-11 apartment block, is in Pims Intensive Care Unit and has only a 10 percent chance of survival, according to ASI Zafar Iqbal.

She suffered a skull injury on Sunday and is still in critical condition.

Assistant Sub-inspector (ASI) Iqbal visited the scene of the incident on Sunday but did not reveal the identity of the girl or the flat number. However, talking to The Express Tribune on Monday, Iqbal said she fell from the balcony of flat number 601 in Millennium Heights.

She was taken to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims). According to doctors, the nature of the girl’s fracture shows that she was pushed.

“The apartment was owned by Khalid Khan, a contractor, who disappeared after the incident took place,” she said.

Iqbal said that after talking to people living nearby, he learnt that before this incident took place, Khan and the girl had an argument.

However, he insisted that the investigation is ongoing and no conclusions have been reached as yet.

The duty officer in Pims on Sunday said he did not know anything about the girl because none of her relatives had visited the hospital.
