Several CDA officials land in jail

ISLAMABAD:

A court of Judicial Magistrate Ahmed Shehzad Gondal sent 29 arrested employees of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to jail on judicial remand in a case involving submission of unverified documents.

The employees, arrested by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), were presented before the court. As the FIA did not seek physical remand, the court ordered all accused to be sent to jail on a 14-day judicial remand and directed that they be produced again upon completion of the remand period.
