Zakir Khan dismisses health rumours, says he’s 'not very bad'

Says those writing online are spreading nonsense, claiming that 'close family sources have confirmed' things

Renowned Indian comedian Zakir Khan has addressed widespread rumours about his health, clarifying the real reason behind his temporary break from the stage.

After announcing a hiatus from his live shows, speculation began circulating online about his well-being. However, speaking at a recent event, the 38-year-old comedian dismissed claims of any serious health concerns.

“My health is a little off, but not very bad,” he clarified, reassuring fans that the alarming reports were exaggerated.

Responding to the online chatter, Khan added humourously, “Everything people have read online is false — I am at stage minus 20,” joking about the dramatic claims surrounding his condition.

He added that those writing online are spreading nonsense, claiming that “close family sources have confirmed” things. “My family is always with me, and even we are surprised—what family supposedly confirmed this?” he said.

On January 20, Khan announced during his live show in Hyderabad, titled Papa Yaar, that he would be taking a long vacation. The announcement clip quickly went viral on social media and ended up being ground zero for the rumors.
