Cement despatches rise 12.5% in February

Exports jump 37.7% as eight-month volumes grow nearly 11%

Cement despatches increased by 12.53% in February 2026, reaching 4.199 million tonnes compared with 3.732 million tonnes in the same month last fiscal year, according to data released by the All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association.

Local cement despatches during February stood at 3.467 million tonnes against 3.2 million tonnes in February 2025, reflecting an increase of 8.35%. Export despatches rose sharply by 37.72%, with volumes climbing from 531,736 tonnes to 732,333 tonnes. North-based cement mills despatched 2.856 million tonnes in February 2026, up 7.66% from 2.653 million tonnes a year earlier. South-based mills despatched 1.34 million tonnes, marking a 24.50% increase over 1.079 million tonnes in February 2025.

In domestic markets, North-based mills despatched 2.856 million tonnes in February, up 9.72% from 2.603 million tonnes last year. South-based mills supplied 611,239 tonnes locally, a modest 2.35% increase from 597,177 tonnes.

There were no exports from North-based mills during February 2026. However, exports from the South rose 51.95% to 732,333 tonnes compared with 481,956 tonnes in the same month last year. During the first eight months of the current fiscal year, total cement despatches, including domestic and exports, reached 34.798 million tonnes, up 10.86% YoY.
