AI-altered video misleads on Netanyahu's support for Afghan Taliban

A video of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is circulating on social media, where he talks about Afghanistan doing "its best to fight terrorism inside South Asia, and requires all the support possible" and announces a "special aid package for Afghanistan at the request of honourable Prime Minister Modi".

However, people on X said that the video is AI-generated, as AI agent Grok makes clear that Prime Minister (PM) Netanyahu does not mention Afghanistan, Taliban or Pakistan, nor was there a "joint address" with PM Modi.
