ISLAMABAD:

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi on Wednesday met Minister for Law and Justice Azam Nazeer Tarar and discussed matters of mutual interest and ways to strengthen coordination between the federation and the province.

During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on enhancing federal-provincial relations, introducing legal reforms, and ensuring the provision of speedy and affordable justice to the public.

The governor highlighted the need for uninterrupted grants for bar associations in southern districts, including Dera Ismail Khan and Tank, and emphasised the importance of professional training courses for lawyers from these areas.

He said that the legal fraternity in the southern districts has been rendering commendable services despite challenging circumstances.

Kundi underscored that strong coordination between the federation and provinces would not only help fulfill constitutional requirements more effectively but also accelerate the resolution of public issues.

Tarar assured the governor that the Ministry of Law and Justice would continue to extend necessary legal assistance and guidance to the province.
