Geopolitics of Epstein Files

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Israel and the subsequent announcement by Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu that Israel and India intend to establish a new regional strategic alliance to counter "radical" Muslims corroborates recent revelations from the Epstein Files regarding the close nexus between India and Israel.

In the wake of the controversy created by the Epstein Files worldwide, especially in the West, this dimension of the Indo-Israeli Axis has been lost amidst tantalising tales about the Western Elite paedophilia. The Epstein Files have rocked Royalty in Britain and shattered the lives of several leading politicians, businessmen, diplomats, professionals and scholars, whose reputations are now in tatters.

However, three interesting ironies are particularly noteworthy. First, in the country of origin of Jeffery Epstein, the United States of America, where the crimes were committed, not a single person has been punished or prosecuted. Neither is there any investigation into the impunity that Epstein enjoyed for over a decade even after the revelations of his sordid saga in the American media. The nexus between big money, political power and influence in the right quarters made Jeffrey Epstein almost 'untouchable', evading the due process of law that would otherwise have applied to any normal citizen involved in such shenanigans.

The second irony is that despite so much clamour and so much reporting of Epstein, his accomplices and his linkages, the American media has been very careful in delinking Epstein's personal life of sleaze and his connection to high society from his very intimate ties to the Israeli Deep State and his proactive and persistent role on behalf of Israel.

Third, the fact that Epstein was actually a high level operative of Mossad has been conveniently overlooked by the American media, which has mostly confined its coverage to salacious tales of Epstein and his friends personal lives.

This is even so despite the fact that an FBI memo, cited in the Epstein Files, clearly states that "Epstein was close to former Prime Minister of Israel, Ehud Barak and trained as a spy under him." It may be noted that Barak, before becoming Prime Minister of Israel, was head of Israeli Military Intelligence, and also later served as Defence Minister of Israel. He was the most frequent visitor to the New York townhouse of Epstein, visiting him over 30 times between 2013 and 2017. It is thus no accident that Epstein funded an organisation called Friends of Israeli Defence Forces (FIDF) as well as the Jewish National Fund (JNF) which has been instrumental in displacing Palestinians from their homes in occupied territories. This fact is also documented in the Epstein Files, where Barak talks of settling one million Russian immigrants to "change Israel in a dramatic manner".

Two other facts about Epstein's role on behalf of Israel testify to his Israel-centric geopolitical role, as documented in the Epstein Files. One is his close and intimate relationship with the Norwegian diplomat, Terje Rod-Larsen, who was instrumental in the 1993 Israeli-Palestine Oslo Accords that were portrayed as a model of peace negotiations. The Norwegian diplomat was virtually on the payroll of Epstein, having received a $130,000 'loan' from Epstein, who also donated $10 million to Larsen's family. These revelations show the nexus between the Norwegian diplomat who was serving as an 'honest broker' for peace between Palestine and Israel with a Mossad agent who was secretly funding him. Rod-Larsen's wife Mona Juul, Norway's Ambassador to Jordan and Iraq, has been forced to resign. So it is now evident that the Oslo Accords were a trap for Palestinians set by the Mossad with the careful connivance of Norway under the garb of peace.

The second example of Epstein's role in promoting Israel pertains to how he tried to get Qatar to be close to Israel at a time when Qatar was in a crisis with fellow Arab states. In an email on 9 July 2017, Epstein told his Qatari interlocutor that "things with Qatar would be okay if Qatar were to recognise Israel". In December 2018, Epstein personally arranged a meeting between former Prime Minister of Qatar Hamad bin Jassim with former Israeli Prime Minister Ahud Barak at London's posh address: One Hyde Park.

From the Pakistani perspective, the India angle in the Epstein Files, which show a close Indo-Israeli Axis, is instructive with a couple of key takeaways. Prime Minister Modi sent his Gujarati business crony, Anil Ambani, to convey to Trump via Epstein that the 'main enemy of India is China and China's proxy in the region, Pakistan'. Epstein mentored Modi on how to come closer to Trump and Israel. The advice was faithfully followed by Modi, hence Epstein's humiliating reference: "Indian Prime Minister took advice (from Epstein) and danced and sang in Israel for the benefit of the US President" and "it worked!" So Epstein was clearly instrumental in paving the way for Modi's 2017 visit to Israel and 2019 visit to the US.

A new centrepiece of the Indo-Israeli axis, which should be of concern to Pakistan, is the convergence of interests between New Delhi and Tel Aviv on Balochistan. Last year, on 12 June 2025, an Israeli front organisation based in Washington, which goes by the name of MEMRI (Middle East Media Research Institute), announced the launch of a 'Baluchistan Studies Project' with the avowed objective of promoting separatism both in Iran and Pakistan using the Baloch card, clearly a joint project of Mossad and RAW. It is thus no accident that during the Indian aggression against Pakistan last May, India's solitary ally, Israel, backed India militarily, even allowing its technicians to operationalise Israeli Harop drones against Pakistan.

Actually, the Epstein saga represents, in the broader context, the powerful and paramount influence of the Jewish lobby in the US with its tentacles spread across countries and continents, as well as different domains of decision-making within the American elite.

Interestingly, this fact was first publicly alluded to by none other than the Shah of Iran 50 years ago, on 26 October 1976, in an interview with journalist Mike Wallace of CBS News. The interview took place at a time when the Shah was one of the closest allies of the US. The Shah said, "The Jewish lobby is too powerful. They are pushing around too many people, pressuring people, as they have means at their disposal. And the Jewish lobby is strong because they are controlling many things in the United States: newspapers, media, banks, finances." The Epstein Files are a reaffirmation of this reality!
