Dozens of residents protested against the tehsil municipal administration in Daska on Friday for not conducting a proper spray in the district against the dengue virus. According to residents, the TMA only has one spray machine and is allegedly using poor quality spray. “The spray isn’t effective and they have left out several colonies,” said a resident Rashid Waseem. Protesters said that the anti-dengue fumigation process was going very slowly and TMA officials were not using quality spray. “The TMA is only conducting a spray of insecticides in areas pointed out by local politicians. They have overlooked several villages and residential colonies,” said a Muhammad Jaan. Protesters said that there was only one TMA official conducting the spray for six colonies. Muhammad Aslam admitted that he was the only person conducting the spray.
