Netflix will livestream BTS’ highly anticipated comeback performance at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul on March 21, marking the group’s first full-group stage appearance in nearly four years, according to a report by The Korea Herald.

An industry source told the outlet that the performance will be held as a one-day-only event, with no additional shows planned, and will be broadcast live worldwide on the streaming platform.

“BTS’ comeback show will take place only once, on March 21, at Gwanghwamun Square, and the performance will be broadcast live worldwide via Netflix,” the source said.

The confirmation comes after the Seoul Metropolitan Government conditionally approved plans to host the event at Gwanghwamun Square, a landmark venue often used for major national and cultural gatherings. The show is expected to serve as a symbolic return following the completion of all members’ mandatory military service.

In an earlier application seeking permission to use the square, Hybe stated that the event would be livestreamed through a “global OTT platform” with access to approximately 300 million subscribers across 190 countries, a description consistent with Netflix’s reach.

The Korea Herald also reported that Netflix will release a documentary film titled BTS: The Return on March 27. The documentary will chronicle the making of the group’s new album, capturing the creative process, internal struggles and reflections that shaped BTS’ comeback after nearly four years away from full-group activities.
