The 10th Edition of the Women International Film Festival (WIFF X) is making landmark history: the festival is coming to Lahore for the first time. Taking place February 14-15, 3-9pm at Olomopolo, WIFF X will showcase films from 23 directors across 13 countries, celebrating the best of women in film globally and in Pakistan.
A creative renaissance
WIFF X Lahore is being produced by Bilqul, a production house headed by British-Pakistani film director Annusheh Rahim. After completing her Master's in Creative Writing from the
University of Cambridge, Annusheh returned to Pakistan to support the growing creative renaissance in the country. Olomopolo, an iconic Lahore venue for artistry, will host the two-day festival.
What's happening
The festival features curated women-led short and feature films, filmmaker Q&As and panels deconstructing the journey of women in Pakistani cinema, and electrifying performances from
DJ Mix Masala and dancers from The Colony. Attendees will also enjoy a creatives mixer and food stalls celebrating Lahori talent.
A highlight: filmmaker Zenith Irfan, Pakistan's first woman to travel the country by motorcycle, will discuss her feature Motorcycle Girl.

WIFF X partners include Sony, Malala Fund, Alliance Française, Dawn News, FM 89, Ticketwala, embassies of Spain, Netherlands, France, and Germany, plus Lahore-based partners from Lahore with Love and Shutterhub.
