Five students killed in road crash

Five school and college students riding two motorcycles were killed in a tragic road accident in Chowk Sarwar Shaheed in Kot Addu on Thursday.
Police said the accident occurred on Layyah Road near Man Pump in the tehsil of Chowk Sarwar Shaheed.
A speeding trailer, while attempting to overtake, rammed into two motorcycles carrying students. As a result, all five students riding the motorcycles died on the spot.
The deceased include 13-year-old Basit, son of Sadiq and his 7-year-old sister Dua Fatima; 8-year-old Abdullah and 6-year-old Abdul Rehman, who were real brothers 13-year-old Adil.
It was reported that the children were students of Faran Academy and Superior College, Chowk Sarwar Shaheed.
They had left their homes early in the morning for their routine educational activities, but the journey proved to be their last.
Upon receiving information, DSP Chowk Sarwar Shaheed Naeem Akhtar and Rescue 1122 teams reached the scene and shifted the bodies to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Chowk Sarwar Shaheed. After necessary legal formalities, the bodies were handed over to their families.
The deceased children reportedly belonged to the Kashk community.
