Netflix has unveiled first-look images from The Fifth Wheel, an upcoming comedy directed by Eva Longoria and starring Kim Kardashian and stand-up comedian Nikki Glaser.

The film marks Longoria’s first feature-length project for Netflix and Kardashian’s first leading role in a feature film.

Written by Paula Pell and Janine Brito, The Fifth Wheel centers on a group of high school best friends who reunite for a weekend trip to Las Vegas in an effort to reconnect. According to the official logline, their plans take an unexpected turn when an outsider — the titular “fifth wheel,” played by Kardashian — crashes the trip, forcing the group to confront unresolved tensions, questionable life choices, and strained friendships.

In addition to Kardashian and Glaser, the ensemble cast includes Fortune Feimster, Brenda Song, Jack Whitehall, Casey Wilson, and Scott MacArthur. The project continues Netflix’s push toward female-driven comedies led by prominent creators both in front of and behind the camera.

The Fifth Wheel is Longoria’s second feature as a director, following her 2023 film Flamin’ Hot, which chronicled the origin story of Flamin’ Hot Cheetos and was released via Hulu and Disney+. For Kardashian, the film represents a notable expansion of her acting career. She previously starred in Hulu’s legal drama All’s Fair and appeared in Season 12 of American Horror Story. In 2025, she was also reported to be attached to a villain role in an upcoming Bratz film.

The comedy is produced by Paula Pell, Kardashian, Jessica Elbaum, Will Ferrell, and Alex Brown for Gloria Sanchez, alongside Cris Abrego and Eva Longoria’s Hyphenate Media Group. A release date has not yet been announced.
