Sir David Beckham refused to answer questions about his estranged son Brooklyn Beckham when approached by reporters at the World Economic Forum in Davos, as the high-profile Beckham family feud continues to intensify.

In footage captured by Sky News, the former England football captain was asked directly, “Do you have a message for Brooklyn this morning?” Beckham did not respond, instead walking past the reporter without comment.

Beckham’s silence came just hours after Brooklyn, 26, publicly addressed the rift for the first time in a lengthy social media statement, in which he said he “does not want to reconcile” with his family. Brooklyn claimed he had stayed quiet for years but felt compelled to speak out, saying he was “standing up for myself for the first time in my life.”

In the post, Brooklyn accused his parents of controlling the public narrative around their family and suggested the environment had become emotionally damaging. He wrote that all he and his wife, actress Nicola Peltz Beckham, want is “peace, privacy and happiness,” adding that he no longer wished to be part of what he described as a performative dynamic.

The statement reignited long-running tensions that have reportedly been brewing since Brooklyn and Nicola’s wedding in 2022. The couple’s nuptials were previously linked to strained relations, with persistent reports of disagreements involving Victoria Beckham and claims of unresolved conflict that resurfaced in Brooklyn’s latest comments.

The feud has also played out across social media, with Brooklyn believed to have blocked or unfollowed several family members in recent months. He has notably been absent from key family events, including celebrations marking David Beckham’s knighthood and other high-profile milestones.

Despite the public accusations, neither David nor Victoria Beckham have issued a direct response addressing Brooklyn’s claims. David’s decision to remain silent in Davos has been interpreted by observers as an attempt to avoid escalating the situation further, even as the dispute unfolds in the public eye.

As one of the world’s most famous families navigates an increasingly public breakdown in relations, Beckham’s wordless response has only intensified attention on the rift, with fans and commentators watching closely to see whether reconciliation remains possible or whether the divide will continue to widen.
