Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday departed for an official visit to Davos, Switzerland, to attend the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Conference 2026 from January 19 to 23.

The World Economic Forum (WEF) is a Swiss-based non-governmental organisation that brings together leaders from the political, business, academic, and cultural sectors to discuss global issues. The annual conference, held in Davos, serves as a platform for world leaders and executives to address economic challenges, global policies, and innovative solutions.

The prime minister's visit will include diplomatic and economic engagements, with several bilateral meetings scheduled with heads of state and government, as well as leaders of international organisations.
