Hundreds of residents, including political, social, and business leaders, staged a protest and sit-in at Shutterdhan and Badr Chowk in Tando Bago against the murder of local youth Arshad Ali Memon in Tharparkar and the failure to apprehend his killers. Business owners closed their shops in solidarity, joining the demonstrators in demanding immediate action.

Speaking at the sit-in, the protest leaders criticised the police, stating that Sindh has effectively become a police state, where the constitutional duty to protect citizens' lives and property is being ignored. They highlighted a disturbing trend across the province, where people are being abducted and later found dead in forests, deserted areas, and roadside locations, while police fail to conduct transparent investigations, leaving murders unresolved.

The leaders demanded the immediate arrest of Arshad Ali Memon's killers and justice for his family. They also called for strict action against rising crime.
