Minister stresses on fire safety training
.

Sindh Minister for Labour, Human Resources and Social Protection Saeed Ghani has said the initiative taken by the International Accord Foundation (IAF) to conduct factory surveys across the province was commendable and urged the organisation to expand its scope beyond factories to include shopping plazas, malls, large buildings and government premises. He expressed these views during a meeting with a delegation of the International Accord Foundation at his office on Monday.
The delegation briefed him on the efforts undertaken by the International Accord Foundation in Pakistan so far, particularly in Sindh.
Joris Oldenziel informed the minister that agreements had been signed with 144 international brands. Due to which more than 330 factories in Karachi alone have already been surveyed, where training related to fire safety, rescue operations and life-saving measures will be provided.
