Harry Styles’ recent album announcement has unexpectedly been used by the UK's National Health Service (NHS) to promote cervical screening, prompting a strong reaction from fans online.

The singer revealed this week that his fourth solo album, Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally, will be released on March 6, marking his first record since Harry’s House in 2022. The news quickly inspired a wave of fan memes, one of which was adopted by the official NHS Instagram account to highlight an important public health message.

Sharing a post aimed at women who have grown up alongside the former One Direction star, the NHS wrote alongside an image of Styles on The X Factor in 2010, “If you remember this Harry…”. The post then cut to the artwork for his upcoming album with the message, “And you’re excited for this Harry… It may be time for your cervical screening!”

In the caption, the NHS explained that “cervical screening is for women between the ages of 25 and 64”, adding, “Everyone with a cervix should be offered screening.” The post outlined that invitations are sent every five years and stressed the importance of attending appointments to help prevent cervical cancer by checking for high-risk HPV.

Fans were quick to praise the approach, with many describing it as effective and timely. One commenter wrote, “Wait this actually reminded me to book – top tier marketing,” while another added, “10/10 post, pay rise for the comms team me thinks!”

The NHS further noted that cervical cancer is most common in women aged between 30 and 35 and that screening appointments typically take between five and 10 minutes. A sample of cells is taken from the cervix and tested for HPV or abnormal changes, with most people requiring no further treatment.

Although unintended, the moment aligns with Styles’ broader association with health and wellbeing causes. The singer has previously spoken openly about therapy and mental health, and his Love On Tour shows raised millions for charities, including organisations supporting reproductive health.
