Perrie Edwards welcomes second child with fiancé Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
The Little Mix singer and English footballer announced the birth of their daughter Alanis Valentine on Instagram

Perrie Edwards has welcomed her second child with fiancé Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, announcing the birth of their daughter in a personal message shared on social media.
The Little Mix singer revealed the news on January 17, confirming that the couple had named their baby girl Alanis Valentine. Edwards shared a photograph showing the newborn resting on her chest, with Oxlade-Chamberlain and the couple’s four-year-old son, Axel, placing their hands gently on the baby’s back. She captioned the post simply with the child’s name, alongside a pink heart emoji.
Edwards and Oxlade-Chamberlain have been engaged since June 2022. They first shared news of the pregnancy in September last year with a video posted to Instagram. In the clip, Edwards wore a shirt reading, “If He Wanted To He Would…”, before turning to reveal her baby bump and the message on the front, “…and He Did!” Oxlade-Chamberlain later joined her in the video with their son, as she wrote in the caption, “Guess what hunnies…”
The announcement followed Edwards speaking publicly about her fertility journey and pregnancy loss. On the We Need to Talk podcast in August 2025, she recalled becoming pregnant shortly after the birth of Axel in 2021. “Axel wasn’t even walking yet and we were pregnant,” she said, explaining that she realised she was expecting while rehearsing for the Little Mix tour.
Despite medical reassurance, Edwards described experiencing bleeding during the tour and later losing the pregnancy.
The birth of Alanis Valentine marks a joyful new chapter for the couple, who have spoken candidly about both the challenges and hopes of growing their family.
