The Heated Rivalry soundtrack has officially been released, giving fans of the popular hockey romance series a chance to experience the show’s music beyond the screen. The album is now available digitally, with vinyl and CD editions scheduled to follow later this year, offering collectors and fans a physical way to own the music that helped define the series’ emotional tone.

The soundtrack was composed by Canadian musician Peter Peter and features 34 tracks that span driving electronic cues, atmospheric instrumentals and softer, romantic themes. The music underscores both the high-stakes intensity of professional hockey and the evolving relationship at the heart of the story, moving seamlessly between adrenaline-fueled game sequences and quiet, intimate moments.

Reflecting on the project, Peter Peter said the experience pushed him creatively in unexpected ways. “The music I composed for Heated Rivalry uncovered a side of me I wasn’t certain I possessed, yet one I had always quietly wished was there,” he said. “I’d never allowed myself such latitude in composition before. Jacob and Rachel deserved the very best of me, so I gave them every ray of light I had.”

The show’s creative team has emphasised that music was always meant to be a central storytelling element. Showrunner Jacob Tierney explained that the score was envisioned as more than background accompaniment.

“From the first day I started writing the show, I knew music would be as integral to the series as the actors themselves,” Tierney said. “His original score doesn’t just sit underneath the story; it carries the emotion, the rhythm and the pulse of the show. I honestly can’t imagine this series without it. Peter’s music is completely woven into what the show is and how the story comes alive on the screen.”

Ahead of the full release, select tracks from the soundtrack were shared with fans, helping build anticipation for the complete album. Those early releases highlighted the contrast between the show’s competitive edge and its romantic core, offering a preview of the range listeners could expect from the full tracklist.

With the digital soundtrack now available and physical editions on the way, Heated Rivalry fans can look forward to experiencing the series’ music in a new format, further cementing the soundtrack as a key part of the show’s lasting appeal.
