ISLAMABAD:

The foreign ministers of Pakistan, Egypt, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Türkiye, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar welcomed the announcement of the formation of the National Committee for the Administration of the Gaza Strip (NCAG) on 14 January 2026, as a temporary transitional body established pursuant to Security Council Resolution 2803, within the framework of the second phase of the Comprehensive Peace Plan and in coordination with the Palestinian Authority.

In a joint statement, the ministers emphasized the importance of the National Committee commencing its duties in managing the day-to-day affairs of the people of Gaza, while preserving the institutional and territorial link between the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
