A new international trailer has been released for How to Make a Killing, an upcoming black comedy starring Glen Powell that is set to arrive in theaters on February 20.

The film marks Powell’s latest leading role as audiences continue to track the actor’s box office momentum following mixed results from recent projects.

Loosely inspired by the 1949 classic Kind Hearts and Coronets, How to Make a Killing centers on Becket Redfellow, a man determined to reclaim the inheritance he believes was stolen from him. Powell plays Becket as a blue-collar outsider who was disowned at birth by his extremely wealthy family. Unwilling to accept his fate, Becket sets out on a ruthless mission to get what he thinks is rightfully his—regardless of how many relatives stand in his way.

According to the official synopsis provided by Studiocanal, Becket will “stop at nothing” to secure his inheritance, establishing the film’s darkly comedic tone and morally twisted premise. The newly released trailer leans heavily into that blend of satire and violence, positioning the film as a sharp-edged entry in the black comedy genre.

In addition to Powell, the ensemble cast includes Margaret Qualley, Jessica Henwick, Bill Camp, Zach Woods, Topher Grace, and Ed Harris. Bianca Amato, Raff Law, and Sean Cameron Mitchell also appear in supporting roles.

How to Make a Killing is written and directed by John Patton Ford, with Graham Broadbent and Pete Czernin serving as producers. The project is a co-production between Studiocanal and Blueprint Pictures, with A24 handling the film’s theatrical release.
