'Avengers: Doomsday' brings Wakanda, Fantastic Four together
Marvel Studios has officially released the fourth and final teaser for Avengers: Doomsday, offering a closer look at how the Marvel Cinematic Universe is beginning to converge ahead of its next major crossover event.
The new teaser shifts focus toward Wakanda while also introducing a key Fantastic Four connection, further signaling how the Multiverse Saga is moving toward Secret Wars.
The teaser confirms the return of Letitia Wright as Shuri, following her acceptance of the Black Panther mantle in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. While Shuri chose not to become Wakanda's ruler, the teaser reveals that Winston Duke's M'Baku has now claimed the title of King of Wakanda. M'Baku's rise marks a significant development for one of the franchise's most popular characters, who has evolved from an early antagonist into a central leader within the MCU.
In addition to Wakanda's political shift, the teaser revisits Namor, played by Tenoch Huerta, and his underwater civilization, which appears to be stranded on land. These visuals reinforce the teaser's recurring theme: a looming threat facing all worlds, with characters preparing for loss and large-scale conflict.
The teaser's final moments feature a crossover reveal, as M'Baku encounters Ben Grimm, also known as The Thing from the Fantastic Four. The scene hints at collaboration between Wakanda and the Fantastic Four, two of the most technologically advanced factions in the MCU. It also subtly references the Secret Wars comic storyline, where Wakanda is among the first to recognize a multiversal collapse.
