A school principal. Samira Asif, was killed and her husband and son injured when a speeding, dilapidated bus rammed into their motorcycle in Korangi on Monday.

The accident occurred in Korangi No4, within the limits of Awami Colony police station. The deceased woman and the injured were immediately shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre. The woman was identified as 35-year-old Samira, wife of Asif, a resident of Korangi No 2½. She was serving as the principal of Top Line Private School.

Following the incident, school management, students, and family members reached the accident site. Students expressed deep grief, saying that "Madam Samira was like a mother to us. She guided us with knowledge, because of which we are progressing in life."

According to the victim's brother, Samira was the mother of two children and the accident occurred while she was on her way to school. He added that his brother-in-law and nephew were also injured in the crash.

Police said the bus was in poor condition and did not have a number plate. The driver fled the scene after taking the vehicle's keys with him. A search is underway to arrest the absconding driver.
