Forest fire in Sherani brought under control

A forest fire that broke out in the hilly area of Dana Sar, Salat Ghar, in Sherani District, has been completely brought under control, officials confirmed.
According to the Forest Department, the fire spread rapidly due to strong winds and dry weather, engulfing a significant portion of the forest. Teams from the Forest Department, supported by local police and community volunteers, acted swiftly to contain the blaze. After several hours of continuous efforts, the fire was prevented from spreading further.
Fire lines were established, and manual firefighting methods were employed successfully protecting nearby settlements and valuable wildlife from potential damage.
Preliminary reports indicate that only a portion of the forest suffered damage, and thankfully, no casualties were reported. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
