Prime Video has confirmed the release date for The Wrecking Crew, an action comedy starring Jason Momoa and Dave Bautista. The film will premiere on the streaming platform on January 28 2026.

Directed by Ángel Manuel Soto, The Wrecking Crew marks the filmmaker’s next feature following Blue Beetle and Charm City Kings.

David Leitch was initially attached to direct the project before Soto took over. The screenplay was written by Jonathan Tropper, whose previous credits include Kodachrome and The Adam Project.

The Wrecking Crew brings Momoa and Bautista together for their second on-screen collaboration, following Denis Villeneuve’s Dune, in which the actors appeared but did not share scenes.

The pair also previously collaborated on Apple TV’s See. In The Wrecking Crew, they play estranged half-brothers Jonny and James, who reunite in Hawaii after the mysterious death of their father.

The supporting cast includes Claes Bang, Temuera Morrison, Jacob Batalon, Frankie Adams, Miyavi, Stephen Root and Morena Baccarin.

Additional roles are played by David Hekili Kenui Bell, Maia Kealoha, Lydia Peckham, Branscombe Richmond and Stephen Oyoung.
