PPP committed to ending public deprivations in AJK

Information minister cites renewed development momentum under AJK PM Rathore

MUZAFFARABAD:

Under the leadership of AJK Prime Minister Faisal Mumtaz Rathore, the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) government is fully committed to eliminating public deprivations in the region, as it accelerated development efforts across AJK, said the region’s Minister for Information, Auqaf and Religious Affairs, Chaudhry Muhammad Rafiq Nair on Friday.

He said that since the formation of the PPP government, the process of construction and development had once again gained momentum throughout Azad Jammu and Kashmir, with its positive impacts now clearly visible at all levels. 

Public service delivery, development projects and good governance, he added, remained the defining hallmarks of the present government.

Expressing confidence in the government’s performance, the information minister said that on the basis of its achievements, the PPP would once again secure a decisive victory in the upcoming general elections and form the government in AJK.  He added that the incumbent government was working tirelessly to come up to the expectations of the people.

Earlier, upon his arrival in Karachi, Chaudhry Muhammad Rafiq Nair was accorded a warm welcome by local leaders and workers of the Pakistan Peoples Party at Karachi International Airport. He thanked party office-bearers and workers for the enthusiastic reception.

Those who received him included Sardar Zulfiqar Ali, President of PPP Azad Kashmir Sindh Zone, Sardar Zafar Iqbal, Sardar Shaukat Khan, Chaudhry Maqbool, Altaf Shah and Azhar Awan. Mehnaz Akhtar Awan and Shamim Akhtar, along with other party leaders and workers, were also present on the occasion.
