Fetty Wap has delivered a message to fans after being released from prison earlier than previously expected, marking a significant development in the rapper’s legal journey.

The New Jersey-born artist, now 34, was freed this week despite earlier reports suggesting he would remain incarcerated until late 2026.

The update emerged after media personality Loren LoRosa shared a video showing Fetty Wap speaking with a small group in a meeting room. Alongside the footage, a statement from the rapper was circulated addressing his supporters directly.

Fetty Wap was sentenced to six years in prison in 2023 following a federal drug trafficking conviction for conspiracy to distribute cocaine. He had been serving his sentence at FCI Sandstone, a low-security federal correctional facility in Minnesota, and was also expected to complete five years of supervised release.

Initially, his projected release date was March 2027. That timeline shifted several times during 2025, first moving to January 8, 2027, and later to December 8, 2026. The reason for his release in January 2026 has not yet been confirmed.
