Field Marshal Asim Munir visits Lahore Garrison, reviews operational preparedness

Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, visited Lahore Garrison on Thursday, where he was briefed on the formation’s operational readiness, training standards, and measures aimed at enhancing combat efficiency, the military’s media wing said.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the army chief observed a specialised field training exercise that demonstrated the use of modern technologies, reflecting the military’s focus on innovation and adaptability to meet future battlefield challenges.
During the visit, Field Marshal Munir also inspected sports and recreational facilities provided to troops, underlining their role in maintaining physical fitness, morale, and overall well-being.

He later visited a High Care Centre at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Lahore, where he commended the medical staff and administration for establishing a fully equipped, modern healthcare facility.

Addressing officers, the army chief reiterated the army’s zero-tolerance policy towards threats to national security, reaffirming the military’s resolve to respond to evolving challenges with professionalism and determination.
He said the armed forces remained committed to safeguarding Pakistan’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and internal stability, while promoting discipline, excellence and selfless national service.
