IED blast injures former Domel tehsil nazim in Bannu

A former tehsil nazim was injured on Tuesday after an improvised explosive device (IED) detonated near his vehicle in Domel, Bannu district, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province.

According to police, the IED targeted the vehicle of former Domel tehsil nazim Fida Muhammad Khan as he arrived at his office. The device had been planted earlier and was detonated remotely.

The explosion destroyed the vehicle, police said.

Fida Muhammad Khan sustained injuries in the blast and was shifted to Khalifa Gul Nawaz Teaching Hospital in Bannu for medical treatment. His condition was not immediately known.

Police said an investigation was under way and evidence was being collected from the scene.
