Robber held after encounter

MULTAN:

A previously convicted robber was arrested after being injured in a police encounter near Pul Chajho Shah Band in Shujaabad.

According to police, a patrol team was present at the place for routine crime prevention, snap checking, and picketing when two suspicious men riding a motorcycle approached the spot. When the police signaled them to stop, both suspects opened fire.

The police took cover behind their vehicle, responding with 'aerial firing'. After the firing stopped, the police found one suspect injured and fallen beneath the embankment. A pistol was found in his hand, while 1.12kg of crystal meth tied around his waist was also seized.
