Female varsity student 'attempts suicide'
.

A female student attempted suicide by jumping from the fourth floor of a private university building, two weeks after a male pupil had lost his life in a similar manner at the same location
According to initial reports, 21-year-old Fatima, enrolled in the Doctor of Pharmacy (D-Pharm) programme, jumped from the same point from where Muhammad Owais had taken his own life. University and hospital sources confirmed that the female student had suffered critical injuries.
She was shifted to the university's teaching hospital for emergency treatment and later transferred to another hospital due to the severity of her condition.
Hospital authorities stated that the student was on a ventilator in a critical condition. She suffered severe head injuries along with multiple fractures. Doctors conducted CT scans and other diagnostic tests to assess internal damage.
The hospital administration stated that senior doctors from several departments were involved in her treatment and measures were being taken to stabilise her condition.
Following the incident, panic and distress spread across the campus.
The University of Lahore administration immediately sealed all entry and exit points of the campus and announced indefinite closure of the institution. A notice was issued, announcing the suspension of all on-campus academic activities.
