Muslim, Hindu, Christian couples' mass wedding held
A social welfare organisation arranged collective weddings for 250 couples, providing dowries, meals for guests

A remarkable display of compassion and unity was witnessed in Tando Adam, where a social welfare organization arranged collective weddings for 250 couples, providing dowries and meals for guests in a celebration that transcended religious boundaries.
The event, organized by Adeero Lal Welfare, continued its annual tradition of supporting underprivileged families. This year's ceremony brought together 100 Muslim, 100 Hindu, and 50 Christian couples from across Sindh, including Sanghar, Mirpurkhas, Umerkot, Matiari, and other districts. Each couple was welcomed with music and joy, with marriages solemnized according to their respective religious traditions.
The newlyweds received clothing, ornaments, cash, bedding, blankets, and household items worth over Rs100,000, while guests were served meals in a spirit of hospitality.
The ceremony was attended by political, social, and minority leaders, including Sindh Chief Minister's Special Assistant Dr. Sham Sundar Advani, who praised the initiative as "a true service to humanity." He noted that such programs foster harmony, brotherhood, and peace by bringing Muslim, Hindu, and Christian communities together under one roof.
Minority leader Rajesh Kumar Hardasani emphasized that such events highlight Pakistan's positive image and the freedom enjoyed by minority communities. Baba Raj Kumar, chairman of Adeero Lal Welfare, said poverty often prevents families from marrying off their children, leaving many young women waiting for years. "We have been arranging weddings for needy couples for years, without discrimination of faith or background. This is our service to humanity," he said.
