Traffic accidents increased across Balochistan in 2025, claiming more than 400 lives and injuring 30,000 people, according to the annual report released by Medical Emergency Response Centers (MERC) 1122.
From January 1 to December 31, 2025, rescue teams responded to over 24,000 traffic accidents on national highways and inter-provincial roads. Nearly 30,000 people sustained injuries, while more than 415 fatalities were recorded.
Thousands of victims were shifted to medical facilities where Rescue 1122 teams provided emergency treatment. N-25 National Highway (Quetta-Karachi), the most accident-prone route, with high rates of injuries and fatalities reported in Mastung, Khuzdar, Lasbela, Pishin, and Quetta.
