BTS member Suga has made his first live broadcast in two years, surprising fans with an unannounced appearance on Weverse following the completion of his military service.
The rapper and producer went live on Sunday in his first broadcast since enlisting, marking a long-awaited return to direct communication with fans. Appearing relaxed in an all-black outfit and glasses, Suga held a black cat while greeting viewers, prompting a surge of reactions across social media platforms.

During the live session, Suga introduced the cat as Tang, explaining that the name is derived from the Korean word 설탕/seoltang which translates to “Sugar” in English.
Addressing fans, he said, “Everyone, it’s cold, please take care of your health. In the near future, I’ll come back again.” The brief but personal message was widely shared by fans, many of whom described the broadcast as emotional after his extended absence.
Suga began his alternative military service on September 22, 2023, and completed his mandatory duties in June this year. His return comes as BTS members conclude their enlistments, bringing the group closer to a full reunion after more than two and a half years.
Suga’s unexpected live appearance has further fuelled anticipation among the BTS ARMY, as fans look ahead to the group’s next chapter following their long hiatus.
