Bilawal inaugurates Indus University Hospital
Promises free world-class healthcare, highlights public health achievements

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari inaugurated the new building of Indus University Hospital, describing it as a landmark initiative in Sindh's healthcare sector. He hailed the province's public health network as a model not only for Pakistan but globally, providing free, world-class treatment to all citizens, regardless of religion, caste, or colour.
Speaking at the ceremony, which coincided with Christmas, Bilawal said the hospital reflects the PPP's core philosophy of caring for the poor and vulnerable. "'Roti, Kapra, Aur Makan' is not just a slogan-it is a vision, a policy, and a principle. It is the government's responsibility to ensure the welfare of the most disadvantaged," he remarked.
The Indus University Hospital, set to become Pakistan's largest free treatment facility, will accommodate 1,350 beds upon completion in three years. It features modern emergency and outpatient facilities, advanced diagnostic units, 36 state-of-the-art operation theatres, cancer care and research centres, and a Health Sciences University linking seven colleges for integrated medical education and services.
