Slow day at the stock market

A bearish trend prevailed at the Karachi Stock Exchange amid the retardation of global economic recovery on Monday.

KARACHI:

A bearish trend prevailed at the Karachi Stock Exchange amid the retardation of global economic recovery on Monday.


The KSE-100 closed at 9642 with a 60-point loss with only 15,000 trades took place during the day.


The top three companies on the 100-Index were Amtex, Bank of Punjab and Jahangir Siddiqi.


The All Share Index was down by 40 points, while around 16,000 stocks and 500 future were traded in the day.
