Rob Reiner, the acclaimed filmmaker behind The Princess Bride, When Harry Met Sally and A Few Good Men, and his wife, photographer Michele Singer Reiner, leave behind four children across two marriages.

Reiner’s eldest child is Tracy Reiner, born in 1964 and adopted during his marriage to filmmaker Penny Marshall. Tracy later built a career as an actress and producer, appearing in films including A League of Their Own. Though not biologically related, Reiner consistently referred to Tracy as his daughter and remained closely involved in her life.

With Michele Singer Reiner, whom he married in 1989 after meeting while working on When Harry Met Sally, Reiner had three children: Jake, Nick and Romy.

Jake Reiner, born in 1991, initially pursued a career in journalism and worked as a television news reporter before later transitioning into acting and performance.

Nick Reiner, born in 1993, is the couple’s middle child. He has previously spoken publicly about years of substance addiction that began in his early teens, including periods of rehabilitation and homelessness. Those experiences later informed the semi-autobiographical film Being Charlie, which he co-wrote. Nick has been reportedly identified by law enforcement sources as the main suspect in the investigation into his parents’ deaths, though no charges have been announced and the case remains ongoing.

Romy Reiner, born in 1997, is the youngest of the Reiner children. She studied improv comedy at The Groundlings and UCB and has worked in film and television as an actress, writer and producer, according to her professional credits.

Rob Reiner rose to prominence as an actor on All in the Family before becoming one of Hollywood’s most successful directors, with a career spanning more than five decades. The Reiner family has asked for privacy as authorities continue their investigation.
