Pakistan’s women’s national football team has secured a historic breakthrough after being officially accepted to participate in the FIFA Series for the first time, the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) announced.

The milestone marks a new chapter for women’s football in the country, placing Pakistan among a select group of national teams invited by FIFA to join the global initiative aimed at expanding international exposure, improving competitive standards and fostering cross-continental football opportunities.

The inclusion is seen as growing recognition of Pakistan’s progress in the women’s game and the team’s rising profile within the region.

PFF officials hailed the acceptance as a major step forward, saying participation in the FIFA Series will provide players with access to international-level competition, increased global visibility and the chance to test themselves against teams from other confederations.

The federation described the development as a significant achievement that reflects its ongoing efforts to elevate women’s football and strengthen Pakistan’s presence on the global stage.
