Pakistan Army storms past 100-gold mark to dominate 35th National Games

Pakistan Navy remain in third place with 24 gold

Pakistan Army surged past a historic milestone at the 35th National Games, collecting 113 gold medals to tighten its grip at the top of the medals table, according to figures released by the Pakistan Olympic Association (POA).

Army’s haul also includes 50 silver and 34 bronze medals, placing the defending champions comfortably ahead of WAPDA, who sit second with 46 gold, 43 silver and 34 bronze. Pakistan Navy remain in third place with 24 gold, 21 silver and 20 bronze medals.

Punjab follow in fourth position with 7 gold, 23 silver and 32 bronze, while the Higher Education Commission (HEC) occupy fifth place after securing 6 gold, 29 silver and 37 bronze medals. Sindh, also with 6 gold medals, are ranked sixth with an additional 15 silver and 38 bronze medals.

Pakistan Air Force stand seventh with 6 gold, 11 silver and 14 bronze medals. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have so far claimed 4 gold, 8 silver and 30 bronze, while Balochistan hold 2 gold, 6 silver and 11 bronze. Islamabad follow with 1 gold, 3 silver and 4 bronze, and Railways with 2 gold, 5 silver and 17 bronze. Police have collected 17 bronze medals, Gilgit–Baltistan 3 bronze, and Azad Jammu & Kashmir 1 bronze.

In badminton, WAPDA’s Irfan Saeed, KP’s Murad Ali, Punjab’s Raza Ali Adil and WAPDA’s Ali Larosh advanced to the men’s singles semifinals. In the women’s draw, WAPDA’s Ghazala Shafiq, Army’s Alja Tariq, WAPDA’s Mahoor Shahzad and Army’s Amara Ishtiaq secured semifinal berths after winning their quarterfinal matches.
