Kendall Jenner has unveiled her mountain retreat, a project where bold florals, graphic patterns, and playful grandmother-chic elements take centre stage. With designer Heidi Caillier, Jenner traded minimalist glamour for a vibrant, personal aesthetic in her first ground-up build.

A standout feature of the home is a sectional sofa upholstered in 50 yards of Lee Jofa’s Hollyhock Handblock print. Jenner told Architectural Digest, “There has never been a doubt in my mind about the fabric. From the moment I saw it when Heidi and I started working on this project, I never wavered.” The sofa was crafted in Los Angeles and shipped to the remote location, setting the tone for the home’s eclectic style.

The residence, designed with Bay Area architect Kirby Lee, reflects Jenner’s vision of a rural escape for summer weekends with friends. “I had a vision. It was a house full of people squeezed onto a couch for game night,” Jenner said, recalling the first gathering at the property. She purchased the site around five years ago after falling in love with the area’s energy, restoring a neglected house was deemed unfeasible.

The interiors feature tartan window seats, vintage furnishings, and custom pieces including a Heather Taylor Home bench paired with a limited-edition 2001 Gibson-Baldwin Les Paul piano. Jenner drew inspiration from the fashion brand Bode and a curated Pinterest board, blending vibrant colour palettes of orange, cobalt blue, and muted tones throughout the home.

Caillier described Jenner’s style as “outdoorsy, tomboyish,” and noted her desire for playful spaces with texture and layered patterns. Walls, ceilings, and windows were carefully detailed to complement oversized furnishings, while bathrooms feature checkerboard tiles by Zia Tile and fittings by Drummonds and Barber Wilsons & Co.
