Taylor Swift set for ‘Colbert’ appearance ahead of new documentary release
Taylor Swift returns to Colbert on Dec. 10, just days before her six-part Eras Tour documentary premieres on Disney+

Taylor Swift is returning to late-night television, with “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” announcing the singer as its featured guest on Wednesday, December 10.
The announcement came via a social media post that included a playful video of Colbert dancing to Swift’s song “Opalite,” capped off with Swift greeting viewers in a cozy cardigan and saying, “Hey Stephen,” referencing her track from Fearless.
Swift’s appearance arrives during a major week in her schedule, as Disney+ prepares to release her six-part Eras Tour documentary on December 12. The upcoming series offers fans an in-depth look behind her record-breaking tour, featuring behind-the-scenes footage, production planning, commentary from her mother Andrea Swift, and guest appearances from Ed Sheeran, Sabrina Carpenter, and Florence Welch.
Colbert marks Swift’s third U.S. late-night stop in 2025. She previously promoted her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and Late Night with Seth Meyers. Her Fallon visit generated massive fan excitement, with discussions covering everything from her engagement to Travis Kelce to the inspiration behind songs like “The Fate of Ophelia” and “Wood.” Fallon also ran through a list of viral rumors, including speculation about Swift turning down the 2026 Super Bowl.
On Late Night with Seth Meyers, Swift offered a more relaxed conversation, gifting Meyers homemade sourdough and sharing humorous anecdotes about Kelce and actress Zoë Kravitz. Meyers also revisited a fan-favorite topic: Swift’s sleep schedule, to which she replied she sleeps “a lot”—but only after her work is finished.
Swift’s December 10 Colbert appearance is expected to draw huge viewership ahead of her docuseries debut on Disney+.
