Karachi to host 35th National Games in 2025
Featuring 32 disciplines including athletics, swimming, football, hockey, boxing and kabaddi

Karachi will host Pakistan’s biggest multi-sport event from 6 to 13 December 2025, as the Pakistan Olympic Association on Wednesday confirmed the full 32-sport lineup for the 35th National Games.
The event will bring together athletes from across the country in a sweeping programme that spans endurance sports, combat disciplines, precision events and crowd-favourite team competitions.
The roster features Olympic mainstays such as athletics, swimming, gymnastics and fencing, alongside Pakistan’s popular competitive events including kabaddi, tug of war, netball and boxing. Team sports notably football, hockey, basketball, rugby and volleyball are set to draw large audiences across multiple venues in the city.
Racquet sports including badminton, tennis, table tennis and squash complement the schedule, while strength-based contests such as weightlifting, wrestling and bodybuilding round out the Games’ more physically demanding categories.
Organisers said the full schedule, venues and competition formats will be announced in stages, with results and highlights to be shared through NOC Pakistan’s official platforms.
The National Games, held periodically since 1948, remain one of the country’s most significant multi-sport events, often serving as a stepping stone toward international selection.
