Netflix has confirmed fan screenings for the season 5 finale of Stranger Things, set to run in more than 500 theaters across the U.S. and Canada.

The finale, with a runtime of 2 hours and five minutes, will premiere in theaters starting December 31, 2025, at 5:00 PM PT, coinciding with its global streaming debut on Netflix. Screenings will continue through January 1, 2026, with RSVP details available on the official website.

Season 5 of Stranger Things premiered Volume 1 on November 26, 2025, featuring four episodes. Volume 2, comprising the remaining three episodes of the eight-episode season, will launch on Christmas Day, 2025. Creators Matt and Ross Duffer, along with executive producer and director Shawn Levy, emphasized that the finale “deservedly” belongs on the big screen, highlighting its cinematic scope.

In addition to screenings, Netflix has partnered with LEGO to release a 2,593-piece Creel House set. The set features figurines of fan-favorite characters, including Eleven, Mike, Will, Dustin, Lucas, Holly, Nancy, Jonathan, Steve, Vecna, and more. Iconic vehicles such as Steve’s BMW and the Hawkins Hitmaker are also included.

Promotional efforts surrounding Season 5 have been extensive, with collaborations including Gatorade’s “No Ordinary Athlete” campaign, an Indiana Fever jersey partnership, and Eggo strawberry waffles. These marketing initiatives aim to expand the series’ cultural reach ahead of the final season.

The theater screenings and merchandise tie-ins reflect Netflix’s strategy to create immersive fan experiences for the Stranger Things finale, blending streaming and in-person events.
